The Italy Road Trip!

by admin on / BLOG, CARS, LIFESTYLE, TRAVEL

Ok, first things first! I really wanted to do a roadtrip over Italy for such a long time now. Instagram sparked this idea with all the photos on the Gram with their amazing views and little villages.

First stop in Italy was the Como Lake in a pretty much perfect hotel with a pretty much perfect view! We arrived in the late afternoon which was just in time for Cocktail’o-clock and pizza time. Next morning – Couldn’t think of a better view to wake up to and have breakfast at and catch some sun next to the pool!

I mean, view’s on point, right?

Next stop was Milan city… Didn’t had much good to say about Milan to be honest. It was way too hot as in 36 degrees all day and packed with people. At least the Domo was beautiful and they had a good amount of quality stores in the mall.

Early morning after we went out to our next stop which was the Garda Lake, only 200km’s away from Milan. This was our view from the hotel which was pretty ok!

A heat wave in Italy at the Garda Lake, no better way to chill as a pool with a view, right?!

Picture perfect on so many ways at the Garda Lake!

I said it before and will say it again, view’s on point at Garda. Ok and that babe does it well too!

Cruising around the Lake in the M4 was just amazing. Loads of overview points which took our breath away. That’s what these roadtrips are all about!

Next stop was Portofino, jup the place from all the Instagram photos! We just had to stop there to see what all the fuzz was about and it’s true, it just looks amazing on photo and in real life.

We had a little snack at the little port, this was probably the most expensive salad with tomato ever but the view and experience was all worth it.

This photo deliverd me loads of stress! That day was pretty windy at Portofino and the place I had to take off from was crowded with people and packed with overhanging trees. Not the most ideal circumstances to launch your drone. As you guys are seeing this photo, it means all went well! Ps: that black boat is owned by Armani.

Next Stop, Monaco on the way home for a day of 3 to just chill and relax and catch up at some work! I just adore that place! Some people will hate it because of all the rich people who live there but most of those people will probably never have visited the country before. The atmospehere in that country is just out of this world. It motivates and calmes me down so much at the same time. A good place to be!

And of course, cocktails!

Time to head home after a fun week with my favourite co-pilot on the whole world!

In case you missed out on the 2-part vlog of the roadtrip, here it is:

Dubai 2019

by admin on / BLOG, LIFESTYLE, TRAVEL

As summer holidays were just so far away we decided to go on a little trip to Dubai with the 4 of us. That’s me, Margaux, Kevin & Elien. Departing from Brussels airport to Dubai International with a direct flight of 6h30 with Emirates, perfect as it is!

Arriving to our hotel and seeing this view, our trip couldn’t start any better to be honest! It’s better to spend a bit more on a good room/hotel as otherwise you’re stuck with a boring grey concrete building view when you’re on the balcony of your hotel – nobody likes that, right?

And as it was 36 degrees during the evening/night, we couldn’t wait to jump in our pool at the hotel!

As the G63 AMG is Margaux her favourite car, we decided to rent this boxy brick to tour around Dubai and get some cool shots with it. To be honest I was suprised by the power of this square shaped metal box with a V8 engine in it! Makes me want one even more here in Belgium!

Views in Dubai never disappoint and putting up the drone didn’t either! The skyline of this metropolis city of Dubai is just on another level, I’ve been to many places but Las Vegas doesn’t even comes close. I just love this place and his atmosphere, the luxury and new buildings motivate me a lot.

Quick desert trip with the G63 and these guys! We almost felt how it was to be walking on Mars! I guess it has the same sand texture and temperatures – haha! 44 Degrees in the desert was kinda hot but the pictures turned out amazing!

Of course we couldn’t miss out on doing some ByMargaux photos! Ps: Go check out here latest pieces in the collection!

Of course we did some pictures for my Kevve-Inc collection too! Got some exciting news coming soon on that by the way!

The G was so sick to drive in Dubai, it’s really G-wagon heaven! In our private garage at the hotel were I think 20 G-wagons, I kid you not! When you drive around the city you spot G-wagons everywhere you look, it’s just crazy! As it was ramadam when we were in Dubai, there weren’t too many supercars around as during the ramadam they aren’t allowed to showcase their rich lifestyle and should stay sober.

Always wanted to go up on the top of the Burj Khalifa and this is what the view is from the 126th level. Pretty insane is an understatement! Next time we’re doing this by day!

I’m so happy I could show my princess this amazing city and we’re already planning the next trip to Dubai & Abu D’habi, the countdown has started but first the Italy roadtrip up next!

Made this pretty long vlog for you guys too, it gives you a better insight in the whole Dubai happening! Enjoy!

Worthersee 2019

by admin on / BLOG, CARS, TRAVEL

You guys know that I love my roadtrips! The trip down to Worthersee, Austria is always in the agenda, for the 11th year now! As the GTI treffen is held there and I just love the atmosphere in Velden Am Worthersee it’s just a trip I can’t miss. Driving it with this fun thing makes it even more fun to be honest, as I told you already before with the Monaco roadtrip, the M4 is the ultimate driving machine, even for a 1150km trip one way!

And yes of course I got my sexy co-pilot with me so she can eat some miles too with the M4! It was actually the first time I sat in the back of my own car – ha! Letting those girls sit in the front was just a cool sight, you should have seen all the looks on people face when passing by!

This photo is always on my to-do list when I come down to the Worthersee event… the background is just so sick! We always have breakfast here as it’s a chill place with proper food!

On the Alpenstrasse there’s something going on… The top parking seems to be converted into the local gummi-platz and I’m not even mad!

Whoops! Kevin made me do it to be honest, I felt bad about doing those donuts! In the end, it was fun tho and got some cool video and photo footage of the donut!

When we had enough of the cars it was time to chill at the pool, with a sun around giving us 26 degrees we couldn’t wished for a better weather…

You know why I love that whole Worthersee atmosphere so much right now…? This tell a lot!

No better way to park the car than at the front entrance of your hotel!

And waking up to this view was pretty amazing! I forgot to take pictures of the hotel room but there’s some footage from in the vlog. (video on the end of this post)

I love my meat, and this rumsteak with garlic was just on another level, so good!

The M4 handles the curvy mountain roads so good, it’s amazing! This picture almost looks like a painting to me, I’m pretty sure I will be watching this photo over and over again when I miss Worthersee!

The roadtrip was even more fun with the 102 fuel which I found in some fuel stations! The M loves that!

BMW M4 COMPETITION – THE ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE!

by admin on / BLOG, CARS, LIFESTYLE, TRAVEL

Is it true what Bmw tries to makes us believe? Are the M version cars of the Munich based brand really the ultimate driving machines? We took the M4 competition for a quick spin to the south of France and we were pretty suprised!

It was the first time since I bought the car last year in August that I drove it that far in 1 time, 1250km to be exact, one way that is.

As it being very fuel efficient to be an M-powered car this was the perfect car to drive to Monaco! With a tank of 55L and a consumption of 11L/100km I was pretty happy. I can see many people thinking that I’m driving the car like a granny but the French police (actually pretty scared to open my mailbox these days as I’m expecting some speeding tickets) and Margaux can prove you wrong haha!

Driving it for almost all the time in ‘sport plus’ mode makes the car just so much fun! The sound, the handling, the feeling in the steering wheel… just so much fun!

Another thing I was suprised with is the trunk space, I packed all my camera gear and Margaux decided to bring down half of her dressing room. As you could see the trunk was well filled but we were good to go! Booth space: A+! To be honest, it’s not that much smaller of the trunk of my 7 series.

Driving from Belgium which was rainy and cold through Switserland which suprised us with some melting snow. It wasn’t a problem for the handling of the M4 together with the sturdy Michelin tires. Thank god!

And yes, this little girl was pretty happy as you could see when she could drive the car! Totally not scary at all! (smell my sarcasm). No actually it was much fun to see her handling the car like a real pro car driver! One of the reasons I like her so much!

And what’s better then a fresh wash of the car when we arrived at the Côte d’Azur? It was pretty dirty from the road down and all of the roadkill and rain.

Nothing beats this view, my 2 ladies looking clean! By the way, these yellow Meguiar’s Drying Towels are amazing for drying a car in record time!

And how exactly can a Bmw M4 be the ultimate driving machine in a country full of supercars or just legendary cars? Monaco is known to be the country with the most supercars per square mile. Yes, read that again… These 4 beauties were parked in the underground garage where the M4 was parked at the hotel. (note: these were only a few, I could list more then 50 here from only the underground parking). It just stands out with the looks, the X-factor and the car being great on every aspect.

Driving around this magical place with the Bmw was just amazing, all these great spots to take some snaps!

With all the Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins driving around I was pretty happy to see how much looks the M4 received from people in the street. Not that I have to compensate something with my car but it’s always fun when your car gets some attention.

And by seeing this photo, I already forgot I have a car…!

Ok… back to the car! The car! Focus Kevve! The M4 which has received some extra carbon parts, a KW suspensions coilovers and some tinted windows matched the scenery perfect. I’m thinking on switching up the wheels but I can’t figure out which ones yet.

Epic views all day long! Sign me up for another trip! This car really proved his strenghts on this trip! It really is the ultimate driving machine!

The looks of this car are just so perfect from every angle! It looks even so beautiful on a parking lot on the highway while eating some McDonald’s!

On the way back home, we stopped at the historical Reims racetrack for a proper picture! Always wanted to do that! Thanks again BMW for making such a great overall car and thanks XOTO for hooking me up with this 1/10 Limited Edition on the Avus special series! They have some more special M’s in stock if you guys are looking for something cool! Thank me later!

MONACO WEEKEND!

by admin on / BLOG, CARS, LIFESTYLE, TRAVEL

Another weekend, another roadtrip – Monaco that is for this one! A little mix of business, fun, food, proper views, an amazing atmosphere and just a fantastic roadbuddy!

We decided to drive to the Côte d’Azur via Italy and Swiss (well, actually the Bmw navigation system decided to give us that route). From the rainy Belgium to the snowy Alps to the sunny French Riviera, more then enough beautiful sights during the road down!

I couldn’t wish for a better roadbuddy aka co-pilot then this lady!

It’s all about the roadtrip and it doesn’t matter if you’re stuck in a traffic jam or miss the right exit, these views are all just worth it. Talking about the most ridiculous subjects and having the most stupid laughs all ride long is something I’ll sign for every time.

Having a typical French breakfast at the Cafe De Paris is a must-do, beside the tasty croissants there’s a fleet of supercars passing by, win-win!

From Porsche 918’s to the newest Ferraris and an overload of Aston Martins, even spotted a Ferrari Enzo but I was too late to have a picture of it (read: sad face).

The weather and those perfect temperatures as in 22 degrees were just perfect, they contribute amazingly to the atmosphere which Monaco is delivering. You can not not like it.

Strolling around the city and seeing the link to the Formula 1 track, curbstones all around the city, F1 heritage everywhere you look.

The Port Hercule where all the yachts are is just on another level. Nowhere in Europe you’ll see so many and big yachts. The Dilbar (which was actually there the day before) and the ‘A’ yacht are only a few of the many famous ones which dock very often to the Monaco port.

And who would I be if I didn’t snap a little picture of these 2 beauties in the harbour with some fancy looking boats on the background. (Got waaaay to many shots but will share these on my Instagram over the next few days/weeks)

And shooting makes us hungry! Little snack at the port – yes, we love food!

The day after we decided to go for a little breakfast on an abandoned beach just outside Monaco. It was by this little alley we ended up at the beach, pretty cool!

A couple of tasty donuts and a big coffee from Starbucks was just perfect as we were still full from dinner the night before haha!

Jup, the little black spot on the photo above is us. It couldn’t be anymore perfect as this, hearing the sound of the waves and seeing the beautiful blue/greenish water was everything we just needed.

It doesn’t get any better then this, wish I could have breakfast here every day!

No words needed! Azure blue water!

Monaco things, a Cars & Coffee on a sunday with some classic Ferraris, A Mclaren Senna, Porsche 918 and some Lamborghinis… I had worse sundays.

Just a typical sight when you’re walking around the city. A perfect family wagon with an AMG badge and the classic Huracan spider, what’s not to like?

And Margaux’s G-wagon fetish was well feeded during the weekend! This Brabus G with camo wrap was probably the best one around! The sound was even more amazing!

When you walk in the city or just sit on your balcony at your room, you just hear supercars all day long. It’s hard to explain but the luxury cars creeping all over the city create such an amazing vibe, motivates me a lot and sparks many ideas.

With my motivation and ideas work-wise on point, I got energy kicking in hard!

Bars and good drinks all over the city! Mojitos and Cosmopolitans coming our way! With Nobu in the city we went for dinner over at the restaurant. Read all about it at Margauxs blog over the next few days!

Walking home is never dull at Monaco, ne-ver!

Sightseeing is one thing but heading over to the Tête-du-chien is the best thing you can do when you’re around Monte Carlo. You won’t be disappointed, take my word.

A full overview over the city and a breathtaking view!

Monaco on the left and Nice on the right side!

Time to head home and get back to work, fully energised and many ideas loading in my head! We’ll be back soon for another trip very soon!

I can’t get tired of this sight! My 2 babes looking pretty as always!

On the way home we stopped for a quick picture at the historic Reims racetrack, I’ll drop some more pictures of this in my next blogpost. Stay tuned folks, thanks for reading!
